AI tutoring questions, answered honestly.
The things parents actually ask us, about safety, learning, cost and results, answered in plain English, no dodging.
Safety & AI
Is Kodori safe for my child?
Yes, safety is the foundation, not an afterthought. Kodori uses pre-authored, curriculum-checked content, has no open-ended chat, is aligned to KCSIE 2025 safeguarding, and flags any concerning input to a real person.
How do you stop the AI making things up?
The AI never invents questions or facts. Everything starts from material written and checked by educators, and every response is validated before it reaches your child, the AI only personalises how it’s delivered.
Can my child chat with it about anything?
No. Kodori tutors within the curriculum, it isn’t a general chatbot and won’t hold open-ended conversations.
What if my child types something concerning?
It’s flagged and handled through our safeguarding process, with notifications to the appropriate person. Nothing concerning is ignored.
Who sees my child's data?
Only you and, where relevant, your child’s school or tutor. We follow UK GDPR and data minimisation, we collect only what’s needed and never use children’s data for advertising.
Learning
Which subjects and years does it cover?
Maths, English (grammar, punctuation, spelling and reading) and science, across Years 3 to 11 (KS2 to GCSE).
Is it aligned to SATs?
Yes. Content maps to the national curriculum and question difficulty is calibrated from real national KS2 performance data.
Will it do the homework for them?
No, it leads with hints and guided discovery so your child reaches the answer themselves.
How is this different from Khanmigo, a human tutor, ChatGPT or a quiz app?
Khanmigo: built on the US curriculum; Kodori is UK-native and SATs-calibrated. Human tutor: one hour a week at £120 to £240/mo; Kodori is every day from £39.99. ChatGPT: unsupervised and can hallucinate; Kodori is checked and safeguarded. Quiz apps: mark answers but don’t explain; Kodori actually tutors with hints and worked examples.
Practical
What devices does it work on?
Any modern web browser, laptop, desktop or tablet. Nothing to install.
How long is a session, and how many children per account?
Sessions are mastery-based with sensible length limits per key stage (typically 15 to 20 minutes). Each child has their own profile; add siblings at a flat £10 off.
